Newbury Park First Christian Church has partnered with Niños de Baja to build "Casa De La Cruz," an orphanage home in El Porvenir, Mexico.  Millions of children live on the streets in Mexico, abandoned, abused and desperate. Our prayer is that "Casa De La Cruz" will be a place were they find shelter, safety, love and a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Last year we began the amazing journey to build the orphanage that would house 24 orphans, who today live in abusive, homeless, or neglected situations.  You can journey with us to help provide a loving, safe and healthy place for these children to grow, learn and develop, as well as hear and experience the message of God's incredible love.  You don't have to know Spanish.  You don't have to have construction skills.  All you need is a willing heart and a desire to serve God and grow in your faith.  Help us shine the light of the love of God to the people of Mexico.  You will enjoy camping, fellowship with other Christians, taste authentic Mexican food and experience the joy that comes from serving in the name of Christ.  

The March 24-29 trip cost is $185 which includes transportation, food, camping, construction costs and trip T-shirt.  Cost for children under 10 is $25 when accompanied by a parent.  Download or pick up a registration form at the hub.  The $85 nonrefundable deposit is due no later than March 2; the balance is due March 16.

For the past 15 years the youth and many others from First Christian Church have traveled to Mexico to help change the world by providing homes and churches for the needy. Forty families have been provided with shelter and a place to call home. We have built a church and Sunday school rooms for churches where the gospel is being proclaimed in Mexico.
