Worship Choir
"Whatever you do in word or deed, do all to the glory of God."
— Colossians 3
God gave His very best when He gave us His Son, Jesus Christ. He spared no expense. He held nothing back. He gave His all!
"Whatever you do in word or deed, do all to the glory of God."In the Music Ministry, we desire to give God our best. We desire excellence because that is a reflection of our love for Christ. If you are considering serving in the Worship Choir, our challenge to you is to "serve the Lord rather than men," to participate faithfully, and to give God nothing less than your best.
Come join us. Everyone can sing! This is an exciting, fulfilling ministry, and we believe you will love being part of it.
We believe that God wants to use each person in our choir as an example of encouragement for Christ and His Church. The Worship Choir is a marvelous way to use your gifts to serve Him and, most of all, to glorify Him. Keeping that in mind, the purposes of the Music Ministry and Worship Choir are:
1. To lead, inspire, and enrich the singing worship of God.
2. To aid in the teaching of God's Word.
3. To be an instrument for God in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.
4. To inspire all who participate into a deeper commitment to Jesus.
Weekly rehearsals are held on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 pm in the Family Life Center, room F23. However, when we are rehearsing for special events such as our Christmas and spring musicals, additional practices will be scheduled and announced.
Our Worship Choir performs during our Sunday morning service at 9 am, from September through June, with a two-week break during the Christmas/New Year holidays. Our praise team provides worship music during our Saturday evening service at 5 pm, and for Sunday morning services during July and August, and during the Christmas/New Year holidays.
