Bible School at 10:30 a.m - 11:30 a.m. for all ages, meeting in various classrooms in the Family Life Center.

Kidz Church is 9:00 - 10:15 a.m. Child care provided on Sundays.

Christmas Shoppe: On December 4th and 5th, Christmas Shoppe will be open at Newbury Park First Christian Church.  Once more, we will open our hearts and our church to distribute Christmas toys for local low-income families.  Christmas Shoppe is sponsored by the ACTION Foundation (Area Christians Taking Initiative on Needs).  This year, the event will bring together volunteers from more than 40 Ventura County churches and provide toys to more than 900 families. 

Newbury Park First Christian Church will be one of five churches hosting a Christmas Shoppe and will serve families in East County.  Each of our guest families has been screened and referred to ACTION by one of several local human-service agencies.  This year, more families in our community are in financial need than ever before.  Some of them are right here in our church.  This is what you can do to help: 

You can donate NEW, UNWRAPPED toys.  Collection boxes will be available at church from November 1st to 29th. 

You can also volunteer to help make our Christmas Shoppe a success.  Go to www.actionvc.org to view the list of available jobs and sign up.  While you're there, watch the Christmas Shoppe video.  You'll see everything you need to know about Christmas Shoppe.  AND, you'll see our people at work because the video was filmed at Newbury Park First Christian Church during Christmas Shoppe last year.

 
 Sermon Series for 2009, "The Power"

"The Power" is a year-long study through weekly messages on the Holy Spirit in the lives of the early believers as recorded in the Acts of the Apostles.  Pastors Jim Buckley, Doug Baird, and Ken LaMont will be preaching weekly messages to help every believer understand who the Holy Spirit is and how He works through lives to enable every Christian to live the life that God intended him or her to live.  

Pastor Jim Buckley will be preaching on "Serving with the Holy Spirit," as he continues a new series in the year-long study of the Holy Spirit this weekend. Pastor Jim will be preaching on Saturday, November 21, at the 5:00 p.m. service as well as on Sunday, November 22, at 9:00 a.m. Please join us, all are invited.
